The ESNC2014 submission phase has been successfully completed on July 8, 2014.
434 completed ideas were received during the ESNC 2014 competition, while in ESNC2013 413 ideas have been submitted.
44 countries worldwide signed up this year to join the competition.
The regions with most submission are the United Kingdom (68 complete ideas), the new partner region Valencia and Bavaria (both 35), Czech Republic (23) and Flanders, the new partner Poland and Hesse (all 22). Greece follows together with Madrid region with 18 ideas.
The Greece challenge has been organized by the Hellenic Association of Mobile Application Companies (HAMAC), in cooperation with the Hellenic Association of Space Industry (HASI), the Greek Research and Technology Network (GRNET) who is the coordinator of LDA european RTD project, the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the National Cadastre and Mapping Agency (NCMA) and “Technopolis” of the Municipality of Athens (TECHNOPOLIS), targeting the awarding of the best products, services and innovative solutions exploring the usage of satellite and geolocation technologies in the support of business activities and everyday life.
